Want to Shed Pounds-Eat Fruit

So often, clients avoid the produce section in the grocery store. However, this section can be your best friend. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber, vitamins, and water which hold the keys to weight loss. It keeps us filling full and it passes slowly through our digestive tract which allows more nutrients to be absorbed into the body. Fiber keeps the intestinal tract healthy by removing toxins from the lining of the intestinal tract. As it cleans our digestive tract, it keeps us healthy.

Fiber cannot be absorbed by the body and it has zero calories. It helps regulates blood sugar levels in the body. It keeps stool soft and prevents constipation. Fruits and vegetables provide a good source of dietary fiber. The average adult should consume 25 - 40 grams of daily fiber. There have been numerous studies to show that the consumption of fiber can assist with weight loss. The higher the amount of fiber consumed, the fuller the person felt throughout the day. As a a result the person consumed fewer calories throughout the day. This resulted in a lower body weight over a given period of time.
