Early Morning Workouts
Exercising early in the morning will improve your sleep pattern and the quality of sleep you get on a daily basis. It allows you to reset your internal clock and feel more alert throughout the day. I have had thousands of people lose weight as a result of exercising in the morning. The other benefit is you get your workout out of the way before your day begins.
Now, I don't want you to avoid working out if your schedule does not permit you to workout in the morning. You should incorporate exercises into your day when it works best for you. Let's start shedding some pounds. Get moving.
Want to Shed Pounds-Eat Fruit
Fiber cannot be absorbed by the body and it has zero calories. It helps regulates blood sugar levels in the body. It keeps stool soft and prevents constipation. Fruits and vegetables provide a good source of dietary fiber. The average adult should consume 25 - 40 grams of daily fiber. There have been numerous studies to show that the consumption of fiber can assist with weight loss. The higher the amount of fiber consumed, the fuller the person felt throughout the day. As a a result the person consumed fewer calories throughout the day. This resulted in a lower body weight over a given period of time.

New Year resolutions fail to bring about real changes
We all know people who make New Year resolutions but I don’t make them because they are ineffective, lack commitment, fail to identify the reasons for change and never unveil the blanket of fear that comforts failure.
New Year resolutions are ineffective because true change requires hard work. Real change requires a plan of action that clearly outlines how you intend on achieving your goals. A plan will also equip you with the tools to handle obstacles you may encounter along the way. This is important because people underestimate the amount of energy that is required to change any portion of one’s life.
How many people do you know who follow through with their New Year resolutions? Exactly what I thought – very few. People will make all kinds of announcements but they are just that – cries into the wind.
I have found that lack of commitment will derail a person from reaching his or her goal. Why? Most people don’t have the proper motivation to keep them focused on their goal. Some don’t have enough faith in themselves. In order to be committed, I believe you need proper motivation, faith in yourself and clear focus. If you do not have faith in yourself, it will be hard to manifest the desires of your heart. You have to be able to see yourself achieving your goal as though it has already happened.
When a person fails to identify the reasons for change, he or she does not have a strong foundation to build upon. You must identify the reasons you want to change because they will be what keeps you motivated when you feel like giving up. Your reasons will help you deflect the things that will draw you away from your goal.
Over the years, I have found that fear has kept many people from achieving their goals. Fear has prevented them from taking action. Why? Some people have a fear of failing, a fear of leaving their comfort zone, a fear of success or a fear of the unknown. Whatever the fear, you must be ready to face it. You can only move forward when you can walk through your fear.
It has been my experience that people fail to achieve their goals or follow through with New Year resolutions because they have not taken an honest assessment of their life. All most people want is to make a list of goals they would like to achieve, and forget about them.
People have the unrealistic expectation that scribbling a few things down on paper before Dec. 31, will transform their lives in the coming year. True change requires more planning than a few minutes before the stroke of midnight.
Each of us, at some given point, has a desire to change our life or at least some aspect of our life. Change is possible because we all possess the ability to transform our lives into whatever we desire.
So what you can do now that 2010 has arrived? You can write down your goals, what you want to achieve this year or in the future. Below each of your goals, write a specific reason why you want to achieve this goal. Review your goals on a daily basis and you should post them in a place where you can constantly see them.
Remember, a goal requires clear vision, motivation, faith and focus.
Thoughts: Control your thoughts, control your destiny
I consider the most important part of preparing for any journey is the mental work that needs to be done prior to starting. Your mental state plays a significant role in your ability to complete the journey. Therefore, I am constantly amazed at the fact that people don't realize how powerful our thoughts can be. Our thoughts control our actions in various ways. Our thoughts or the conversation we have with ourselves affect our mood and the way we perceive ourselves. In every book I have read and in my own life, I know if you change the way you think, you can change your situation. Your thoughts carve out the path for your destiny.
- The Chinese philosper, Lao-tzu, said, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". But, first, you must set a goal, have a destination and focus on the journey.
You and I are the sum total of our experiences. We are where we are today as a result of an accumulation of your thoughts and our future is being woven out out your thoughts. If you are unhappy with where you find yourself right now, change your thoughts and your situation will change.
